Cornelius (“Neil”) McCarthy is Counsel with the firm. Mr. McCarthy has broad experience in the areas of business and finance law, commercial and securities litigation, and intellectual property. Mr. McCarthy regularly counsels clients with regard to all types of contractual matters and disputes including drafting and enforcing licensing agreements and non-competition, non-solicitation and confidentiality agreements. Mr. McCarthy also provides risk assessment and litigation avoidance advice and works with the firm’s product liability group to provide counseling and litigation support to the firm’s clients.
Mr. McCarthy was the founder of Lawyer Links LLC, a database service for M&A law, corporate compliance and complex litigation. He has also been a legal and financial consultant to several technology companies. Mr. McCarthy was an investment banker at Salomon Smith Barney and at Bear Stearns. He was also an M&A attorney at an international firm working in New York City, and a business lawyer at an international firm working in Boston and London. Mr. McCarthy was also Special Counsel to the United States Treasury Department. He is a graduate of Bowdoin College and Harvard Law School.
