James Brown is an associate with the firm. Mr. Brown's practice areas include general litigation, product liability defense, and insurance coverage. Mr. Brown has experience working in the area of alternative dispute resolution and mediation, having mediated numerous cases on behalf of the State of New Jersey.

Drawing on his extensive background in journalism, Mr. Brown has particular interest in issues related to media, publicity and journalism including defamation, slander, libel, First Amendment challenges, and privacy rights. Mr. Brown's interest in these areas compliment the firm's marquee products liability practice particularly with respect to the relationship between product counseling, risk avoidance and management, and public relations challenges facing sellers, distributors and manufacturers with respect to product liability. 

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Brown clerked for the Hon. Daryl F. Todd, Sr. in New Jersey. Mr. Brown graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a B.A. in newspaper journalism and history and earned a juris doctor from Boston College Law School.  Mr. Brown is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey.
