Mr. Tartaglia is an associate with the firm. His practice focuses on product liability litigation throughout the Country.  He regularly reviews and comments on clients' product literature and counsels clients on litigation avoidance strategies. Mr. Tartaglia has experience with administrative matters including bid protests before the Government Accountability Office and trademark registrations with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He has prepared multiple successful summary judgment briefs and other dispositive motions in products liability and other torts (including defamation and malicious prosecution actions) and is well-versed in limiting adverse expert testimony through Daubert motions in various federal courts.

Mr. Tartaglia earned a B.A. in History from University of Vermont and a J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.  While at Hofstra, Mr. Tartaglia served as a research assistant to the former Dean of Hofstra Law and Co-Reporter for the American Law Institute’s Restatement (Third) of Torts: Products Liability (1998), Professor Aaron D. Twerski.  Mr. Tartaglia’s research focused on developments in design defect caselaw throughout the country since the adoption of the Restatement (Third) and served as the basis for revisions to the recent edition of Professors Twerski and James Henderson’s casebook, Products Liability: Problems and Process, as well as various law review articles by Professor Twerski. In addition to his work in the products liability field, Mr. Tartaglia assisted Professor Twerski in several other projects including his role as Special Master in the In re September 11th Disaster Site Litigation.
